Musical Theatre Club

Musical Theatre Club will resume on Monday 26th September, in School from 3.20 to 4.15 pm.

This term we are very fortunate to have Mrs Tootill joining us to help out and take part in our next show which will be at the end of term.

Anyone from Y2 upwards with a genuine interest in music, singing or drama is welcome to join us. We have a very exciting end of term show lined up!

The cost is £38.50 up to the end of term, which is £3.50 per session. I would be very grateful if payment could be made on a termly basis on the first session, either cash or cheque made payable to M. Durrant. Thank you.

I have experience working in Theatre Schools and I am a qualified piano and violin teacher. The benefits of taking part in the performing arts are numerous, but not at least an increase in confidence, musical ability and imagination. I hope to get Salhouse School Musical Theatre Club up to a high standard. We already have some talented performers and it is exciting as a teacher to watch the development of the group.

I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Best wishes and many thanks,
Mandy Durrant

Salhouse School Sports Day

Despite the weather, the children and families of Salhouse School had a fantastic day; In the morning, the children went round in their house groups, participating in 8 different activities and winning points for their house. At lunchtime, family and friends arrived with their picnics and we all sat out on the school field (pretending it wasn’t drizzling!!).

The afternoon was filled with races which the children had chosen themselves. There was even time at the end for the Mums, Dads and younger siblings to join in!!

‘Jump Rope for Heart’ Event

The children at Salhouse School all took part in the British Heart Foundation ‘Jump rope for heart’. As part of this, the Heart Foundation sent the school a set of skipping ropes which the children have been using at lunch and break times. They planned their own ‘skipping day’ and collected sponsors from friends and family. The school raised nearly £500 for the Heart Foundation.
