Fledglings had the best time celebrating ‘World Book Week’, we explored colours and shapes through ‘Elmer’ books, numbers and counting through ’10 Little Pirates’, and had lots of outdoor, sensory and fine motor fun through the ‘Gruffalo’ books.
It was wonderful seeing the children (and us adults) dressed up as their favourite storybook characters, extending this into their role-play and peer conversations. The children brought in their books, which we thoroughly enjoyed reading during group time, and discovering lots of new favourites to add to our collection.
